Embark on an unforgettable 2-day kayaking adventure that starts in Virsbo and ends either in Surahammar after approximately 25 km, or in Hallstahammar after approximately 38 km. Take control of your own experience and choose the pace that suits you best during this journey. This tour will take you through historically significant water passages and give you the opportunity to explore the enchanting beauty of the Strömsholm Canal. The canal was built over 225 years ago to transport goods between the industrial towns along its route, and the canal locks still operate today!

Your kayak will be waiting for you at the starting point from 10:30 on day 1, securely locked with a combination padlock. You can easily reach Virsbo by train, and the same train also passes through Surahammar and Hallstahammar, allowing you the option to take your car to the starting point if it suits you, and then return with the train after completing your kayaking adventure.

The price includes kayak rental for 2 days, kayak delivery, a canoe trolley for convenient land transportation, paddle, sprayskirt, life jacket, and a detailed map with a description of the canoe route. The map provides information about points of interest along the way and suitable camping spots.

Our double kayaks are very spacious in the cockpit. In this kayak, one person steers (the rear paddler), but both paddlers contribute to speed. This canoe is propelled using a double paddle and a sprayskirt. The sprayskirt is a thin fabric that covers the cockpit to prevent water from splashing into the kayak.
